No. 31 and SODA (Survivors Of Domestic Abuse) is a Women’s Centre developed in the borough to provide information and support for victims of domestic abuse.  The Centre offers a holistic approach to Domestic Abuse issues that include counselling, support groups, drug awareness and the freedom program.

The Freedom Programme is a free 12 week rolling programme open to any woman who wishes to learn more about the reality of domestic abuse. The programme aims to help women understand the beliefs held by abusive men and in so doing, recognise which of these beliefs they have shared. The programme also helps women gain self esteem and the confidence to improve the quality of their lives. The programme is offered at Ferryhill Telephone 01740 658080 and Sedgefield 01325 317 903.

The services offered through the Women's Centre can be accessed via self-referral or by agency referral.  You can also email 31SODA@googlemail.com - This email address is regularly monitored by Domestic Abuse Staff and Counsellors.
